A great new feature of CRM 2013 is the field tool tips functionality. I’ll explain it briefly in this second Quick Tip!

Tool Tips

Increasing the user friendliness of your Dynamics CRM 2013 is made easier with this handy new functionality. We are now able to show a description when users hover on fields. As it may be self-explanatory, you just need to update the Description of the field you want to enable the tool tip functionality for.

Let’s see this in action:
In my customization solution, I opened a field that needed to have a tool tip hover effect.

For this field, the Description is empty.

I added an appropriate description for the users and published the customizations.

The description of the field has now been filled in.

When I now have a look in my CRM instance, this is what I see when hovering the field I just updated with an appropriate description:

And there it is, another handy feature of Dynamics CRM 2013!
